One of my focuses over the last decade has been advancing treatment options for patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer, particularly through irreversible electroporation (IRE). A decade ago, we demonstrated that IRE is safe and feasible and should be performed in conjunction with standard induction therapy. Over the years, we have gathered data from 200 patients, proven an increase in overall survival, refined patient selection criteria, and most recently, laid the foundation for incorporating immunotherapy to further improve overall survival.
